Focused on a star ingredient, Shroom in Southsea showcases the magic of mushrooms as a sustainable and delicious alternative to meat. By working with local growers, Shroom brings low carbon, flavoursome fast food to the people of Portsmouth.

Shroom on Sunday is Portsmouth’s only 100% vegan Sunday roast dinner. We pride ourselves on offering homemade, wholefood, plant-based Sunday dinners. Choose from either a Shroom Wellington combining mushrooms and lentils in a flaky pastry case, or our Beef-style meat alternative made with adaptogenic mushroom powder.
Both are served with seasonal vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, herby stuffing, and creamy baked cauliflower cheeze made with our signature Shroom cheeze sauce.
For those looking for a lighter bite there’s the ‘Trimmings only’ option as well as a children’s small plate option. For those with room left in the tank desert is available - usually a seasonal fruit crumble or something gooey and indulgent.

We understand for many Sunday’s are sofa-days which is why we offer a takeaway service.
We love being able to offer the people of Southsea a unique vegan dining experience typical of Brighton or London. We’re fortunate to be part of a community that actively supports independent businesses and are open to trying something different.
